UPDATE: Suspects in Downtown Threats Incident Booked into Jail (Photo)
The suspects involved in Saturday’s threats incident involving a realistic-looking replica firearm have been booked into jail.
After an investigation, officers booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center Anthony G. Ortiz, 20, on charges of Menacing, Interfering with Public Transportation, Interfering with a Peace Officer, Escape in the Third Degree, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, and Possession of a Controlled Substance (fentanyl). Two Residents Displaced by Morning House Fire in West Linn (Photo)
Early Saturday morning at 6:45 a.m., callers began reporting to 911 that smoke was coming from a home in the 2100 block of Southwest Windham Oaks Court in West Linn. Based on descriptions to dispatch, the call was upgraded to bring additional personnel and resources to the scene. Initial reports indicated that occupants had exited the home. First-arriving firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the eaves and roof, and upgraded the call to a second alarm for further support.Heavy smoke swiftly
UPDATE: Lewis Fuqua Found Safe, Silver Alert Canceled (Photo)
The Silver Alert for Lewis Fuqua has been canceled as he has been found safe. Late Saturday afternoon, Lewis was found in Washington County after a non-injury car crash prompted community members to call law enforcement. He is back with family and getting a medical evaluation.
The Portland Police Bureau is grateful to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for its assistance, the public for looking out for Lewis, and for everyone who shared his information in an effort to locate him.

Ecological burn planned at Mt. Pisgah today, September 28
Lane County Parks, in cooperation with the Friends of Buford Park & Mt. One Man Dies After Shooting in the Lents Neighborhood
A man has died after a shooting in the Lents Neighborhood.
On Saturday, September 28, 2024, Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to a report of someone shot in the 7800 block of Southeast Aspen Summit Drive. When officers arrived, they found an adult male victim deceased in a common area outside of some apartments. There is no suspect information being released at this time.

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by at least one vehicle in a hit and run crash in the Hazelwood Neighborhood.
On Friday, September 27, 2024 at 10:04 p.m., Portland Police Officers from East Precinct responded to a report of a crash on East Burnside Street at Northeast 113th Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a pedestrian deceased at the scene. The driver or drivers involved left the scene and were not immediately located.

Klamath County Fire District 1 (KCFD1) responded to a residential structure fire at approximately 330am this morning.
